Hi there! I’m Makayla, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to my world of storytelling. I grew up in a charming town near Madison, Wisconsin, devouring fantasy romance novels like Twilight, City of Bones, and Vampire Academy. My love for these magical realms sparked a passion for writing that has only grown stronger over the years.

 

I hold a degree in art and elementary education, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but storytelling has always been my true calling. When I’m not immersed in writing, you’ll likely find me curled up with a good book, spending time with family and friends, attempting to cultivate a garden (with varying degrees of success), or exploring new restaurants with my husband.

 

My journey into writing began in high school with a creative writing class that was more fun than I’d anticipated. It wasn’t until college that I tackled my first story. Although I didn’t finish it at the time, the experience ignited a desire to write and refine my craft. After much learning and connecting with inspiring authors, I’m excited to share my debut novel, Wings of Lies, with you.
